Unusually with this gun the client asked for a 'staggered ribbon' gold name border on the sides of the action which lends itself tastefully to the execution of the engraving, allowing a different interpretation of the centre panel. It just goes to show that you can never rest on your laurels, but must continually strive to improve, often in the most subtle of ways.
Whether for the discerning collector or the avid sportsman, Westley Richards firearms represent the epitome of excellence in the world of bespoke gunmaking. Known for the droplock shotgun, over and under shotgun, double barrel rifle and bolt action rifle, the company has achieved an illustrious 200 year history of innovation, craftmanship and artistry. Beautiful gun. It seems our American friends are having more fun with their 410s than we are, perhaps time for a reappraisal. Is the dolls head extension a regular feature of WR 410s?

I have been waiting for the completion of this superb “Sweet Little .410” and judge the final outcome, well I certainly wasn’t disappointed in the slightest with every detail complementing it’s neighbour, the staggered ribbon adding that touch of individuality, the clients personal touch!
Vince Crowley’s engraving is outstanding and that “Woodcock flighting through the timber” is just sublime, what talent that man has !!
You must be very proud of the whole extremely talented ‘Westley Richards’ staff, l would be.
Best regards
Peter.
