A Virtual Visit to Westley Richards. Guided by Emma Slater

I asked Emma to shoot photographs today of what you could expect to see if you visit the factory, a virtual tour by camera. I hope that those of you who are unable to visit the factory enjoy these and I hope that any of you considering coming to visit will be encouraged to do so by what you see here.

Are the bottles of booze on the workbenches a Christmas thing, or a year round perk? I understand there are snooker and dart players who swear it helps their hand eye coordination.

Wonderful historic rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of an old industrial building, Simon. One of these days I want to visit and look at guns too, of course.

It's really quite different from the old Grange Rd shop. Looks wonderful. What do you like most about the new location?

Your photo essay conveys great depth and atmosphere, and reminds me of sights - and more - when I visited now many months back, last year.

Thank for all the superb material assembled on this blog, which has grown into a remarkable resource of history, gunsmithing and hunting lore; and above all, a celebration of splendid images of superb guns. The Explora is a ray of sanity on a lurching planet.

All the very best for this festive season and 2016

Great photos, they capture the atmosphere of your premises. I really must make a point of visiting in 2016. Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year to all.
