These are not paintings taken like most, from photographs, but ones which have been sketched in the bush under the sun! I have always particularly liked these oil sketches which develop over time and perhaps remain in sepia or perhaps have some colour added. The Everard Read Gallery in South Africa or the Pangolin Gallery in London, each of which are always worth a visit when in the respective towns.
