Once again there is a real contrast in both the engraving and wood. This pair have deluxe bold scroll with gold naming and detailing, complimented by a gold bordered game scene of Bobwhite Quail and Red Grouse respectively. The actions have been 'brushed' which really highlights the detail in the scroll and obviously the game scenes.
The wood is truly exceptional and in all honesty was taken on as a bit of a gamble by the client. Both stocks came from very highly figured blanks that under normal circumstances are difficult to visualise on the finished gun. In this instance even we were surprised to see just how well the raw blanks formed into stocks and how the figuring contrasted throughout. The photos really don't do them justice!

Really stunning pair, the gold encircling the game scenes really sets them apart. Wonderful work, as always!

Dear Trigger
Yet another superb pair of shotguns from Westley Richards workshops, absolutely fabulous timber and again what a choice of engraving so individual.
Three composed pairs, same calibre's, but each pair so very different from the others, if as I suspect the people who commissioned the pairs are close friends and shoot together there is no chance of picking up the wrong gun.
Did any of the individual owners have their guns cased?
I can't wait to see the third pair stocked and finished.
What a photo it would be to see all three pairs in a combined shot!
The magnificent "six".
Kind Regads. Peter.

Good Day Trigger,
Congrats to this lucky owner he has a great pair of guns in everyway. I like the floor plate and the gold that surronds the birds. It is a nice change from most that you see on a shotgun. Thanks for the post!! I wish all the best to the Westley Richards team in Vegas for the SCI Show!!

Absolutely stunning pair of guns, the timber contrasts beautifully with the brushed action, Superb engraving as well. The scroll back action always seems to look the most balanced of all guns. Fantastic.
