Kruger Jacket
Westley Richards safari wear continues to deliver traditional safari staples adjusted for the modern huntsman and today's discerning adventurer. One such a garment is the new Kruger Jacket.
The aesthetic is true safari with the details being a little more contemporary. The Kruger is a casual fit travel jacket in a quality grey-green, 100% cotton fabric. It has safari styling details, like four outside patch and bellows pockets with button-down flaps and a drawstring waist adjustment.
Front closure is by traditional horn buttons and/or quality YKK zip paired with a distinctive walnut Alacantara neck detail. The jacket has fully lined sleeves and a loose shoulder liner for structure and comfort. Inside, a zip-pocket for valuables, phone, money clip or cards.
The modern rounded collar is flanked by stylized non-functioning epaulettes and all seams are double stitched.
The Kruger Jacket is a superb crossover jacket. Not as overtly vintage in its look as our outright safari jackets, but perfectly at home in the field or for general casual wear.
Tusker Shirt
Also new for 2025 is the fabulous mustard hued (or dark green if you prefer) Tusker Shirt. This is a fully-tailored, grown-up and beautifully cut shirt with full collar and cuffs with horn button closure and tight, double stitched seams.
Two breast pockets with disguised bellows, one with tab & button closure, the other with button-down flap, contrast nicely, while the left tricep has a cartridge-holding panel of three slots.
Sleeves roll-up and are secured by old-style, button-secured tabs. The shirt features a pleated back and hanging tab for drying. The fabric is a soft-and-quiet, yet close-weave and snag-resistant, 100% cotton. The Tusker Shirt might just be the perfect safari shirt without shouting the fact from the rooftops through overt military styling.
Kruger Vest
The Kruger jacket is twinned with the Kruger Vest, which shares the same fabric, lining and basic outline. The vest has a Westley Richards top-lever styled zip, branded genuine horn buttons and concealed press-stud fastening.
A sleeveless design that is ideal for travel, with pockets for every purpose, and time in the bush, for when you need a second layer and to keep your arms free for every eventuality.
The Kruger Vest has adjustable waist tabs and three flap-sealed pockets externally, as well as a zipped internal pocket on the left and a quick-access elasticated phone pocket on the right. This is an easy-wear, convenient and stylish extra layer for cool evenings in warmer climates.
Stanhope Suede Jacket
While the Kruger is a modern safari-styled jacket, the Stanhope Suede Jacket is a luxurious take on the style. Perhaps more suited to the arrival in camp than the blood and guts of the hunt, as seen in the imagery, this perforated jacket is the supreme addition to your African travels.
With four patch pockets, genuine horn buttons, working button cuffs and drawstring waist adjustment, it brings a to-end feel to the safari look. The super-supple and lightweight goat suede construction makes it a jacket of distinction in any situation.
Sporting T-Shirt
At the opposite end of the range, the Westley Richards Sporting T-shirt, available in three colours, is a casual, hunting or workwear staple for every day. Made in the same pique cotton as our popular Sporting Polos, this modern iteration is sure to be a customer favourite.
With a single patch pocket for money or sunglasses and a padded shooting patch on the right shoulder, the Sporting T-shirt is an essential for any hunter heading to sunny climes.
Stanley Cargo Jacket
A nod to the styling from decades past, the Stanley Cargo Jacket combines safari appeal with the cues of a handsome casual jacket. Inspired by a sportsman’s ability to look gentlemanly in even the toughest terrains, this fit-for-purpose, loose-fitting jacket, in a Japanese cotton fabric, will not disappoint.
Sporting a pocket for every purpose both inside and out, the Stanley also features an action-back for ease of movement when shouldering your rifle, making it ideal for in the field and on far flung adventures.
Selous Safari Jacket (Lightweight Fabric)
For the full, classic safari look, the Selous Safari Jacket, which has been a staple of the Westley Richards range for over a decade, is revived in the darkest green we have used to date. The famed Selous jacket silhouette is retained, with working epaulettes, full belt, horn fastening front and traditional collar and cuffs.
The style remains the same, however for this season our design team have introduced a new light-weight cotton, linen, Tencel blend from Japan for added cool for comfort in higher temperatures.
Safari Herringbone Trousers & Cargo Shorts
Another safari-inspired classic, great for everyday wear is the Safari Herringbone Trousers, returning in a new rugged British herringbone fabric. Eight pockets, including two with zip-closures, a comfortable straight-leg cut for air circulation and quality detailing. These trousers are comfortable and tough enough for the safari, yet smart enough for the journey.
The Cargo Shorts are a simplified take on our classic Safari Shorts, designed for comfort and adventure. Cut from mid-weight brushed cotton, they offer a soft yet durable feel, perfect for warm-weather pursuits.
