Specializing in leather goods since 1683, Meindl is a family run business that keeps authentic Alpine traditions alive. Every piece of leather used to produce a Meindl jacket is tanned using the Chamois Procedure that dates back thousands of years. A great deal of experience and manual work is required to prepare leather from a raw hide and will take 3-4 months to produce this unique quality product.

With leather and horns sourced from deer, roe deer, chamois and ibex hunts, Meindl is proud to pass on its traditions from one generation to the next.

Being a natural material, suede ages, the required patina emphasises the characteristics of this unique material. The longer you wear the leather, the more personality it develops. Patina is a natural appearance which is caused by wearing the leather.
