I appreciate that many of these photographs have been posted before over the past few years, and that they will be familiar to many of you. Our readership has grown and I am never sure who goes back and visits old posts so I thought that whilst I was sending a client a selection of engraving options for some small bore guns we are building him, Â that I would post the selection of engraving options that I sent ahead.
It is quite nice to see them all in one group also!

All are beautiful but that Vince Crowley copper and silver dog really blow my skirt up.

Good Day Simon,
All works of Art sir, I dare not pick the one I think is best. As there are no best in this battery of guns, each has it's own perfect merits to someone. Thank you for showing these shotguns together, while I may have seen most it is still nice to see them all together giving one a chance to drool without leaving this blog. Great work...each and everyone.

Thanks for gathering these all together Mr. Clode, it really is a stunning collection of images!
The fine scroll work by both Vince Crowley and Rashid Hadi are particularly stunning as far as I'm concerned.
One day...

Wow - superb examples of engraving art! So nice to see them all together - and compliments on the photography, you were really able to capture the detail well.

Do some of the detachable lock actions have a more rounded shape than others? Example: The 20 gauge gun engraved in relief scroll by Vince Crowley.

Yes they are all individually filed up and some are more round than others, it is a customers preference. Also the lighting plays tricks and enhances some of the straight lines with shadow.
