I was really pleased recently to find a complete copy of "Dogs in the Field" by Marguerite Kirmse. The volume is an oblong folio of 24 lithographed plates and with an additional  set of 6 lithograph prints which are so often missing. The work was printed in an edition of 685 copies in 1935  by the Derrydale Press. This work has now inspired the engraving on a set of three 20g Ovundo's we are currently completing.

I think we would all like to see a magazine length feature on the trio of Ovundo's engraved on a theme inspired by the illustrative art of Marguerite Kirmse!

I have no doubt that once these guns are finished I will be showing them off as much as possible! They will be the "last" 3 Ovundo's completed in my watch!

The most delightful pencil work. I remember the first time that I looked at the engraving work of Fracassi, and marvelled at his ability, with no more than shading, and to create the perfect muscle structure of pointers. Humbling!
