Good Day Simon,
This is certainly a beautiful Double, I especially like the gentlemans imagination and vision of engraving. We as gun collectors struggle with fresh idea's in my humble opinion. I have looked at many great guns, there is certainly a theme to most guns. I think that is part of the reason that I like this gun so much. Not only does it show a fresh idea, it would take such a cartridge to take the likes of those beast. Mr. Spode's work is wonderful!!! Thanks for Sharing Sir...
Congratulation to the new owner!!!
In Christ

A lovely piece indeed Simon, the stuff of dreams for most but we can still delight in the pictures.
Can I ask how the .700/.577 round compares to the .700HH? Faster no doubt, but how does it affect recoil and rifle weight, I have handled the .700 but not shot it, and it was substantial, albeit beautifully balanced?
