Rare, totally original Rigby .275 High Velocity carbine bolt action rifle. Completed on the 26th of May 1903, built for G.B McPherson Grant and was once property of Lord Mountcharles, Co. Meath, Ireland. Built on Mauser action No. 4329, with flag safety, flat bolt knob, a 20 1/2" barrel engraved 'John Rigby & Co. 72. St James's St London', ramp foresight, rear island express sight regulated at 100, 300 & 400 yards, peep sight, and quick detachable scope mounts which were fitted by Rigby in September of 1912. Original semi pistol grip stock with chequered steel heel plate, measuring 14 3/16" to centre, recessed sling swivel and stock sticker which reads;
.275 Mauser Rifle, No 2143/4329, property of Lord Mountcharles, Slane, Co. Meath, and handed in to Serg W. Mahon, 10090, Slane Station on 6/9/72.
A super little rifle in the same specification as it left the factory 114 years ago.
