Best quality J. Rigby & Co. .275 bolt action rifle completed in August 1912 for Sir Hill Child. Built on a Mauser Obendorf action with flag safety and fixed floorplate. Zeiss Diatal 4x32 scope on H&H style quick detachable scope mounts. 23" barrel with a ramp foresight with hood, rear island base with a one fixed and two folding leaf express sight regulated at 100, 300 & 400 yards. Long semi pistol grip stock measuring 15" to the centre of the chequered steel heel plate. The barrel is engraved 'JOHN RIGBY & Co. 43 SACKVILLE ST. LONDON .W.'.
The front ring of the action is engraved
