Best quality 'Model A' Mauser 7x57 bolt action rifle. Built on a standard length, single square bridge action with matted top and the Mauser name on the front ring, flag safety and trigger guard magazine release. 23" barrel with a clean bore, rear island base with a one standing and four folding leaf express sight regulated at 100 - 500 yards, a silver bead foresight and barrel band. Full pistol grip stock measuring 13 3/8" to the centre of the traditional recoil pad, cheek piece, grip cap, sling stud and horn forend tip. The rifle remains in very good, original condition, with some minor marks on the barrel. The Model A was designed just before World War 1 primarily for the British and American markets and could be considered to be the best grade with the best finish and wood.
