Gibbs Take-Down Rifle .22-250 & .308 Barrels
Serial Number B8011
£28,500.00
description
George Gibbs of Bristol established himself as a pioneer in rifle craft in the early 1800s and the firm carries on those traditions today, under Mark Crudgington.
This modern-era rifle was built to tackle both medium game, and small game at long range. The new Kurtz Mauser action is used to take advantage of the versatile, short-cased .308 Winchetser and the fast, flat-shooting .22-250 Remington cartridges.
The two barrels are supplied as fully interchangeable, each with its own dedicated forend, with traditional ebony finial. Each perfectly suits the rifle and looks equally at home in-situ.
The modern British-made Mauser action with box magazine creates a perfectly balanced and familiar-handling stalking rifle in the best tradition.
The beautifully figured dark walnut stock, with cheek-piece and fine hand-chequred hand and fore-panels has a grip cap and Silvers pad and is fitted with a sling eye to match the banded forward pairing on the barrel.
With this lovely Gibbs take-down, which remains in almost perfect condition, the hunter is equipped for every opportunity Europe or North America might put in his way.
For longer-range work, a Swarovski Z6i is provided, along with quick-detach mounts
