Dakota Arms .22-250 Rem Model 76 Classic.

Based on the Dakota Arms Model 76 control round feed action that married the best features of the Model 98 Mauser and the Winchester M70 making what could be argued as the finest bolt action made in the U.S.

The model 76 was available in 6 different action sizes, each size dedicated to a specific cartridge family. This rifle is built on the DA short action for the .308 Win. cartridge family, which accommodates the .22-250 Rem., even though it’s slightly shorter. 

The Action has a 3-panel checkered bolt knob, jeweled bolt body, and DA rotary style bases with 1” rings. Standard Dakota one-piece bottom metal, 3-position M70 type safety, and M70 type adjustable trigger. 

Factory 21” Douglas barrel.

The XXX English walnut stock has a RH shadow line cheekpiece, Ken Howell inletted swivels, a point skeleton butt plate and matching point skeleton grip cap.

The rifle weighs 7 lbs. 3 oz. 

Rifle shows a few handling marks, but overall is  in very good condition. Pairs with rifle No. 0584 that is chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum.   Two well made, well conceived rifles by themselves that should stay together as they make a very smart pair!
