Dakota Arms 7mm Rem Magnum Model 76 Classic.

Based on the Dakota Arms Model 76 control round feed action that married the best features of the Model 98 Mauser and the Winchester M70 making what could be argued as the finest bolt action made in the U.S.

The model 76 was available in 6 different action sizes, each size dedicated to a specific cartridge family. This rifle is built on the DA Winchester Magnum action which accommodates most of the commercial long action, belted magnums by Winchester and Remington from the 50’s and 60’s. The 7mm is a perfect bore size for North America hunting and Remington’s 7mm Magnum still shines as one of America’s favorite big game cartridges. 

The Action has a 3-panel checkered bolt knob, jeweled bolt body, and DA rotary style bases with 1” rings. Standard Dakota one-piece bottom metal, 3-position M70 type safety, and M70 type adjustable trigger. 

Factory 23” Douglas barrel. 

The XXX English walnut stock has a RH shadow line cheekpiece, Ken Howell inletted swivels, point skeleton grip cap, and a 1" Pachmayr recoil pad. 

The rifle weighs 7 lbs. 8 oz. 

The rifle shows a few handling marks, but overall is  in very good condition. Pairs with rifle No. K0584 (“K” for “kurz” or “short” action) that is chambered in .22-250 Rem.  Two well made, well conceived rifles by themselves that should stay together as they make a very smart pair!
