Pair of William Powell & Son 12g Sidelock ejectors circa 2002/3. Made in Spain by Arrieta & Co expressly for Powells at their 35 Carrs Lane Birmingham address. From the Heritage range, this pair of Consort model guns are a round action, H&H style sidelock, assisted opening action guns. Case colour hardened with double, articulated front triggers, auto game safeties, engraved with full scroll coverage and the name in a banner. 30" chopper lump barrels with 2 3/4" chambers, choked 1/2 & 3/4. Long 15 1/2" stocks which are well figured. Splinter forends with Anson push rod release. The guns are gold numbered 1 & 2 in the normal places and weigh 7lbs 2oz. They are a modern and affordable alternative to an old pair of English guns and are better suited to the bigger driven days with heavier cartridges.
