Winchester Model 61 Hammerless pump action repeater chambered for .22 LR Shot Only. This rifle was made in 1959 and is the final type of .22 LR smooth bore offered by Winchester in the Model 61.
This gun has a a 24" barrel with a smooth bore barrel that is straight and not counter bored like the previous two models and the original Routledge bore. The barrel remains .217" caliber the full length of the barrel. Model 61's made with this type of barrel appear after about 1955 and while the Model 61 records are quite sparse, this is believed to be second in rarity only to the original Routledge bore Model 61's offered by Winchester.
Original grooved receiver with a single steel bead at the muzzle. Original stock has a checkered hard rubber butt plate, smooth pistol grip and a grooved forend.
Rifle is all original with and about 95% overall and is among the most rare of all the smooth bore types offered by Winchester.
