William Powell & Son 20g boxlock non-ejector in very good condition. Beautiful 28" Damascus barrels nitro reproved in 1971 with 2 1/2 chambers, choked improved cylinder in the right and 1/2 in the left. Boxlock, non-ejector action with third bite barrel extension, tang top lever, double triggers and automatic game safe. Nicely engraved with a house scroll coverage and makers name. The rib is engraved 'William Powell & Son, 13, Carrs Lane, Birmingham'. The straight hand stock measures 13 3/8" to the centre of the checkered ebony heel plate. The splinter forend features the Anson push rod release catch. The gun has had a sympathetic refinish but has remained untouched in a private collection for the last 40 years. A delightful little boxlock, ideal starting gun for an avid youngster.
