L.C. Smith 20g Featherweight No. 2E Grade #5178E was made in 1908, the second year the 20g was available. The gun has 26" Crown steel barrels choked Cylinder and .005" and remain perfect, both bores measuring precisely at .615" and are dent free.

The locks have the standard duck in a pond on the right lock plate and a quail on the left lockplate, both in a circular cameo with supporting scroll. The gun is fitted with the Hunter One single selective trigger and patent ejectors.

Stock has a straight hand grip and 14 1/8" LOP over a leather covered pad. The stock has a crack behind the right lock. The stock has been refinished and the checkering re-cut. Possibly converted from a pistol grip gun. No serial number on the tang, but is on water table and barrel lump.
