A unique True Pair of 12g Holland & Holland Deluxe Sporting Model Two Barrel Sets. Consecutively serial numbered guns built on Holland's trigger plate "Sporter" action with sideplates, removeable single selective trigger groups and non-automatic safeties. The bolstered frames have a bright finish and full coverage bold deluxe scroll with Maker's name in banners on the bar of the action and The Sporting Model engraved on the bottom of the receiver and each respective gun has the number "1" or "2" engraved on the forend iron and top lever and inlayed in gold on the bottom barrel, the second barrel of each set being numbered in gold with an accompanying "star" also inlaid in gold; engraving signed “ML” (M. Long) behind each trigger guard.

Each barrel bears 1995 London proofs and are 28" demi-bloc barrels with machine matted vent ribs and a single bead at the muzzle. Each barrel is choked differently, and they are as follows:

No.1 barrels are choked IC & 3/8

The extra barrels No. "*1" are choked 5/8 & Full

No. 2 barrels are choked 1/2 & 3/4

The extra barrels No. "*2" are choked 3/8 & 5/8

Nicely figured Turkish walnut stocks with Monte Carlo shaped raised combs, full pistol grip with a diamond shape in the wrist and thin "sporting clays" type rubber pad. Schnabel forends have push rod release and all done in flat top checkering. Each gold oval is engraved with the former owners initials "HFR".

Guns are used and overall condition is nice; barrels are dent free and stock has no cracks but stocks show some handling marks as well as a few marks in the barrel black, receivers are very nice. The second set of barrels for the No. 1 gun show some staining on the left of demi-bloc. Guns are not cased.
